When we completed A People’s Soundtrack,
Marvin and I realized a substantial amount of powerful, Jewish, choral music did not make the final cut of the film.
We discussed how we could still celebrate the unique and unseen musical performances of the film’s cantors, and decided the best way to carry on this legacy was a online, living archive – a digital library. In the future, we will continue to update it with snippets of performances we document or which are sent to us.
